Angie's background in Sports and Exercise Exercise
always has played a major part in my life and from a very early age I
loved sport, all my family were involved in sport and it was a natural
progression that I joined an athletics club where half of my life was
spent and the majority of the week was taken up my training and all my
weekends competing all over Ireland in the 100m, 200m and the 4x 100
relay teams.
It was the most exciting time of my life and the hunger and passion
for sport has always remained with me. When I left school I wanted to
be involved with sport and people but felt I needed a wider view of the
world to gain this knowledge and experience with people so I came to
the UK and joined an airline where I travelled all over the world for
ten years and still managed to train wherever possible. I then got
married and had a child and knew once I had my little boy the passion
was burning to get my qualification in personal training.
I took a Premier diploma in personal training and sports therapy.
My qualification enables me to provide Fitness instruction, fitness
assessment, Exercise for special populations, optimum and sports
nutrition advice, body massage and sports massage and sports injuries
to clients. I hold a first aid certificate and I am fully insured.
I totally believe how exercise can change your life, and the feeling
of been healthy and the "feel good " factor after you exercise. I
wanted to be able to let other people feel like this. Now a days most
people lead very stressful lives, I believe we can limit this amount of
stress we feel by looking after our bodies by exercising and good
nutrition and fuel our bodies with what it needs to function to the
best of its ability, therefore leading to a fitter, happier and maybe
even a longer life.
I always believe in advancing my knowledge by attending seminars and
workshops, to keep up with the developments in the fitness industry. |
